Anti-counterfeiting
Rilom & Co. implementes anti-counterfeiting strategies for many brand owners in China. We work with relevant government authorities and agencies to enforce rights and, where necessary, taking action in the Courts.
Our administrative raid is enhanced by our IP investigation capability. We help IP owners to stop counterfeiting - in factories, distribution channels and wholesale and retail outlets. We raided in eastern provinces and through many ministries.
Combating Internet Counterfeiting
Trademark counterfeiting affects brand owners in virtually every established product category. $25 billion counterfeit goods traded online each year (Moises Naim, Illicit, Anchor Books, 2005.) $221 million (81%) counterfeit goods were seized by the U.S. customs from China in 2008. The largest categories of seized products have recently included apparel, bags, cigarettes, consumer electronics, sunglasses, footwear, and headwear. We are engaged in devising and implementing practical strategies for brand owners. We help IP owners to gather intelligence on the source of the goods, send Cease & Desist Letters, consider potential defendants, and remove counterfeit listings from websites.
Investigation
With specialist in-house investigation capability, our network is able to quickly and effectively track infringing and counterfeit product from manufacturing source in China to retail market in another place. We also provide other supportive investigative services including commercial IP investigations, particularly in the context of IP audits and due diligence, trade mark use investigations, and domain name recovery investigations.
